JC has been writing since the age of four and just began
making sense last year. He was one of only two male, heterosexual,
Koreans to major in English at a school that has firmly
placed me in permanent debt.
Growing up in the OC, he later moved to dirty Jersey, went
to school in perpetually snowy farm country, and was recruited
to move to DC after college. Since moving to DC, he has
done everything from finance for an offshore British company
to undercover surveillance.
Through it all, through the lowest moments, the most trying
situations, the darkest times, faith and art were literally
light for him. The celebration in his life, the glimpse
of sweetness from getting it right, and the pure exhilaration
of simply continuing to live, have been amplified through
faith and art.
Jc genuinely hopes that through this work, he may somehow
provide a spark when you might need it, and that in some
small way, he may turn up the volume in your daily life.
