Haiti
After the earthquake, over 1.5 million people became homeless and sought refuge. 25,000 of them were able to find a home with Grace International, turning it into the second largest refugee camp in Port au Prince. Grace International is now working to resettle many of the people living in this camp and create small communities. Mobilizing organizations like AIM (Adventures in Missions) work to send mission-minded volunteers to serve in the tent communities, schools, churches and orphanages.
Grace International has two orphanages in Port-au-Prince, one with 50 girls, and the other with 35 boys. They not only provide food and shelter, but education, guidance, love, and opportunities for a better life.
